The vision of Urban and Human Settlement Laboratory

Become Leading The Urban and Human Settlement Laboratory Institution in the Development of Tridharma Higher Education Activities on National and International Scale in 2035.

EXPLANATION OF VISION
The Urban and Human Settlement Laboratory (UHSL) is the development unit of the Tridharma Higher Education Activities in the Department of Architecture (DA), University of Merdeka Malang that has the hallmark of the development of architectural education based on local wisdom and oriented towards sustainable development. The Urban and Human Settlement has responsibilities and roles in the event of architectural education following the mission of developing Higher Education Tridharma activities in the fields of education, research, and community services. The Urban and Human Settlement Laboratory plays an active role in developing the Department of Architecture, in the academic realm, in the field of research, as well as in the area of Community Services, through the contribution of ideas and real work of lecturers and students education and Research-based. As a leading UHSL institution, it must be able to take part at the local, regional, national and international levels in developing the potential of the locality to realize sustainable development and contribute to the achievement of the global vision of Sustainable Development Goals.

Development of Tridharma Higher Education Activities
The UHSL of Department of Architecture has a strong commitment to providing strengthening Bachelor of Architecture (S.Ars) who master the science of architecture planning and design, architectural design skills, and have excellent soft skills. This commitment reinforced by efforts to develop Higher Education Tridharma Activities to improve the quality of academic activities and academic support activities supported by research and community service activities within the framework of developing architectural education based on the local resources potential and oriented towards sustainable development. The development of UHSL Institutions in DA University of Merdeka Malang is a logical consequence of improving the quality of Higher Education Tridhama activities to achieve a superior rank of university vision in 2035.

Achievement of vision 2035
Following the development stage of the Merdeka Malang University, currently entering the Equality stage (2016-2025), as the principal capital towards the Outstanding stage (2026-2035). This Outstanding achievement phase means that the UHSL Institute of Department of Architecture must have an outstanding quality of implementation nationally (certified) and have a superior reputation at the international level by 2035.
